Setting it up

Find your device, follow it in order

Nobody here assumes you know what any of this means. Each guide names the exact screen you will be looking at, explains the one confusing step rather than glossing over it, and tells you when to leave the telly alone and let it think.

Four habits

These four things save most of the trouble

They are the same four regardless of what you own, and between them they account for nearly every first evening that goes smoothly rather than sideways.

  • Have your account page open on your phone. Everything you are about to type is on it.
  • Do one device properly before starting the next one. It makes any problem far easier to place.
  • Where you can paste rather than type, paste. A mistyped character on a remote is the usual culprit.
  • Let the first load finish, even when the screen looks stuck. It is fetching your whole channel list.

Yours is not on the list?

If it can install an app that accepts an Xtream login or an M3U link, it will work, and that covers nearly everything with a screen. Tell us what it says on the back of it, or send us a photograph of the remote, and we will write out the steps for that exact box.
