Find your device, follow it in order
Nobody here assumes you know what any of this means. Each guide names the exact screen you will be looking at, explains the one confusing step rather than glossing over it, and tells you when to leave the telly alone and let it think.
Amazon Fire TV Stick
The way most of our customers watch. The only genuinely awkward part is the very first download, and there is a picture of every screen you will see along the way.
About 5 minutesAndroidAndroid Phones, Tablets, TV Boxes and Android TV
The most forgiving device to set up, because Android lets an app install without much of an argument. Works the same on a phone in your hand and a box under the telly.
About 4 minutesSmart TVSamsung and LG Smart Televisions
No download from us and nothing to plug in. You install a player from your television’s own shop and hand it your details, which is the tidiest setup of the lot when it works.
About 6 minutesMAG boxMAG and Formuler Set-Top Boxes
The one that needs no login at all. Your box is recognised by its own hardware number, so once we have that number from you there is very little left for you to do.
About 3 minutesWindowsWindows Computers and Laptops
Handy for testing whether a problem is your subscription or your telly, and perfectly good for watching in its own right on a laptop in the kitchen.
About 4 minutesAppleiPhone, iPad and Apple TV
Apple does not allow apps from outside its own shop, so there is nothing to sideload. You choose a player from the App Store and give it your details.
About 4 minutesThese four things save most of the trouble
They are the same four regardless of what you own, and between them they account for nearly every first evening that goes smoothly rather than sideways.
- Have your account page open on your phone. Everything you are about to type is on it.
- Do one device properly before starting the next one. It makes any problem far easier to place.
- Where you can paste rather than type, paste. A mistyped character on a remote is the usual culprit.
- Let the first load finish, even when the screen looks stuck. It is fetching your whole channel list.
Yours is not on the list?
If it can install an app that accepts an Xtream login or an M3U link, it will work, and that covers nearly everything with a screen. Tell us what it says on the back of it, or send us a photograph of the remote, and we will write out the steps for that exact box.
